My advice for those looking to get into IT

I recommend learning the material from CompTIA’s A+ and Network+ to establish a good base level of knowledge but I strongly suggest having the Security+ as your first certificate in IT. From there you should decide if you want to spend the money on networking certs (Cisco CCNA), Cyber Security (CISSP), or others like the cloud certifications from Amazon or Google. Below is my certification path and the study materials I used.

Also, for getting a job in IT, experience matters most, followed by certifications, and finally college. Finish that college degree! I have seen many people be held back in their career for not getting their bachelors.
