Food I Had
Smitty’s. Restaurant/Bar with Fish Fry Fridays and Prime Rib Saturdays within 5 minutes or so from Tomah. Try it once to see if its worth visiting again yourself.
The Waterfront in La Crosse. Good upscale steak restaurant right by the river. Military gets 50% discount on entrees.
The Pearl Ice Cream Parlor in La Crosse. Good ice cream parlor with long lines after dinner. Line goes by quick. Get the waffle cone.
Murrays on Main. Probably one of the best restaurants in Tomah that offers a decent variety of food and drinks.
Peking Chinese. The only edible chinese food place in Tomah.
Matsumoto Ramen. The best ramen I’ve tried in this area. Gets busy for dinner. Must try.
Cancun Bay Mexican Restuarant. Surprisingly good mexican food in Tomah. All you can eat tacos for lunch on Mondays.
4 Sisters Tapas in La Crosse. Pretty good food and the mac and cheese with honey is a must try if you like mac and cheese.
Le Chateu in La Crosse. Upscale French restaurant that has an amazing bar in the basement. Definitely worth popping in for a drink at least. Introduced to the Viex Carre cocktail here.
Perkins in Tomah. Decent breakfast serving restaurant that has pies. They get new pies in on Wednesday.
Taco Paisa in Sparta. Greasy mexican street style food.
BP Smokehouse in Tomah. Just don’t.
Romeo’s Food Truck by the PX at McCoy. Pretty good as far as PX options good.
The Zone near Sparta. OK bar/restaurant. The chicken was good.
Buzzard Billy’s in La Crosse. The briskey mac and cheese was amazing. The alligator fingers were also pretty decent. Worth going back.
Bodega, great bartender at this bar and a large selection of beer. Beer was called midnight toffee stout from Untitled Art was good.

San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana in Milwaukee. Best Pizza I’ve had this style.
Things I Did
Tractor Pull. Awesome experience, very loud, happens end of June every year. It’s a must see in Wisconsin.
2. Grandad Bluff in La Crosse. Amazing view overlooking the city. worth the trip and only 8 minutes from the downtown streets.
Things To Do
In August, sunflower farms bloom on the farms which offer a good photo opportunity.
Tubing in the Wisconsin River.
Butter Fest in June.
Tractor Pull in late June.
